York Future Forum - schools, business and BIG
BIG's Ned Hoste has been participating in the York Future Forum. This group of local employers and business owners have been brought together to help prepare pupils and school leavers for the world of work.
As part of York Business week (14th - 18th November) many of the Forum members will be going into schools and talking to Year 9/10 students about their journey into work and business. Ned will be speaking at Joseph Rowntree School, York, on Wednesday 16th November and spending the afternoon with the Business studies students at All Saints School on Thursday 17th.
Ultimately, the goal of the Forum is to help manage the transition from school to work for students, together with creating a better understanding of need, skills and advantages between them and local employers. Helping everyone to benefit.
