Building a trustworthy reputation is fundamental to building a sustainable business. It is not something that happens overnight and it is not an item that can be entered on a balance sheet; however, it is one of the greatest assets your business can have.
When we created BIG we spent a long time developing our Culture Statement. This sets out our brand behaviour and is a document that everyone at BIG has signed. The first point within our Culture Statement is:
Respect
One way we strive to build respect is through networking and speaking at events where we share our research, knowledge and information. Over the last year, as well as our regular networking presence, we have been partnering a number of our clients with speaking events culminating in ‘An Audience with Professor Roger Steare’, hosted by York St Johns University and in partnership with Forward Ladies.
Over the coming months we will be continuing this programme with two further events. One with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) at The British Library in Boston Spa on the 2nd of November, 2010 and the second event (date to be confirmed) at York St Johns towards the end of January 2011.
If you would like to know more about us, creative communication and what we like to talk about, get in touch, we’ll be delighted to chat to you.
