Working from home has never been more rewarding!

I've been meaning to write a blog entry for a while now, but have to admit I've been a little pre-occupied lately! Becoming a first time dad has given me some rather different roles than those I was previously used to, and having any free time is not one of them!

Working from home as I do, the rewards of the bundle of joy that is my 15 week old baby are magnified. I'm around to witness all the spectacular achievements (both pretty, and not so pretty!); perhaps a curse, sometimes, but given the flexibility it offers I'm not going to complain.

I continue to work in the same way as before, communicating efficiently with the rest of the team by Skype, email, and collaborating on the web, though I also tend to put in a bit more work in the middle of the night when all my BIG colleagues and clients are fast asleep, but hey... why not make the best of the times I'm awake?!

So rather than sitting miles away in a 'real' office with a photo of baby on the desk, I'm happily working away at home, with the little'un asleep right next to me. If that's not the best workplace in the world, I don't know what is!
